Careers at Illume Aesthetics

This Is Not a Job Posting

This is a question: do you want to be part of building the standard of care in women’s anti-aging aesthetics?

Not the standard of care at one clinic. The standard. Period.

Illume Aesthetics was founded on a single mission: impact the lives of as many women as possible who want to take an active role in how and when they age. That mission drives every treatment we offer, every patient interaction we have, and every person we invite onto this team.

If that sentence made you feel something — keep reading. If it didn’t — this probably isn’t the right fit, and that’s okay.

The Illume Method — What You’re Joining

Illume isn’t a menu of treatments looking for technicians. It’s a methodology — The Illume Method — built on three pillars:

01

Structural rejuvenation — rebuilding the foundation of the face and body

02

Dermal renewal — resurfacing, regenerating, and restoring skin quality

03

Topical nutrition and protection — medical-grade skincare that maintains and extends results

Every team member at Illume — from front desk to advanced injector — works within this framework. You’re not just performing a treatment. You’re delivering a piece of a comprehensive methodology that changes how women experience aging. That context matters. It’s what separates an excellent technician from an Illume team member.

Our Core Values — These Aren’t Decorative

Most companies list their values on a wall and forget about them. Ours are the filter for every hire, every performance conversation, and every decision about who stays and who doesn’t. Read them carefully. If they resonate, we want to talk. If they don’t, we’ve saved each other a painful discovery.

#MEMBERS FIRST

Our patients are the reason we exist. They pay our paychecks. They keep the lights on. They clothe our children and put food on our tables. Without them, we have no reason to be Illume.

What This Means in Practice

Every patient deserves our utmost respect, compassion, care, safety, and professionalism — under every circumstance and always. Not most circumstances. Not when it’s convenient. Always. The patient who’s nervous, the patient who’s difficult, the patient who’s running late — they all get the same standard of care.

What Violating This Looks Like

Treating patients as transactions. Rushing through consultations. Prioritizing your schedule over their experience. Talking about patients dismissively when they can’t hear you. Any of these is a values failure, not a performance issue — and we treat it accordingly.

#WE ROLL OUT THE RED CARPET

We go above and beyond when serving our patients. They have entrusted us with helping them achieve their most personal and intimate beauty goals. That trust is sacred.

What This Means in Practice

The experience is the treatment. From the first phone call to the moment they walk out the door, every touchpoint is intentional. The environment is warm. The communication is clear. The follow-up is genuine. Nothing feels transactional. Nothing feels rushed.

What Violating This Looks Like

Going through the motions. Treating the visit as routine when it’s anything but routine for the patient. Failing to recognize that for many patients, this appointment required courage to book.

#TEAM WORK MAKES DREAM WORK

We are stronger together. We go the extra mile in our teamwork with each other — the standard is performing everything we do with excellence. We are the best, so we must act like the best.

What This Means in Practice

You help a teammate without being asked. You communicate proactively. You celebrate others’ wins as genuinely as your own. You never say “that’s not my job.” From first connection to the time the patient walks out the door, the team creates a seamless, excellent experience.

What Violating This Looks Like

Silos. Gossip. Territorialism. Watching a teammate struggle and not stepping in. Any behavior that puts your comfort above the team’s excellence.

#LEAD WITH HUMILITY

We practice humility and keep the business’s needs above our own. Humble people admit their deficits and grow. Humility is a secret sauce in our culture that separates us from others and enables all of us to thrive.

What This Means in Practice

You ask for feedback — and you listen to it. You admit when you don’t know something. You defer to the team member with more expertise, regardless of title. You’re coachable on your worst day, not just your best. You never stop being a student.

What Violating This Looks Like

Believing your credentials mean you’re done learning. Resisting feedback. Prioritizing being right over being effective. Ego in any form.

#GROW OR DIE

Everything is either growing or it is dying. Nothing is ever truly static. If you are coasting, you are going downhill. This is the value that defines Illume’s culture more than any other. Learning and growth are not optional. They are expected of every team member, at every level, every single week. We invest in training, conferences, certifications, and supervised hours because we mean this — but the investment only works if you meet it with hunger.

What This Means in Practice

You pursue new certifications. You ask to shadow procedures you haven’t mastered. You study between sessions. You bring what you learned at a conference back to the team. You are measurably better at your job this quarter than last quarter.

What Violating This Looks Like

Doing the same thing the same way for months without improvement. Turning down training opportunities. Saying “I already know how to do that.” Treating your current skill level as sufficient. If you’re comfortable, you’re coasting. If you’re coasting, you’re going downhill.

#EMPOWERED INITIATIVE

Everyone is empowered to problem-solve and make decisions that serve the best interests of our patients and our team — given attitudes and behaviors align with our core values.

What This Means in Practice

You don’t wait for permission to solve a problem you can see. You don’t pass responsibility up the chain when you have the information to act. You own your scope — and when you see something outside your scope that needs attention, you flag it immediately rather than assuming someone else will.

What Violating This Looks Like

Passivity. Waiting to be told. Watching a problem develop and doing nothing because “it’s not my area.” Initiative isn’t a bonus — it’s the baseline.

#IDEAS CHANGE THE WORLD

Team feedback, ideas, and perspectives are valued, explored, and implemented where appropriate. Our collective team ideas can literally change our patients’ world.

What This Means in Practice

You share your observations. You suggest improvements. You question processes that don’t make sense. And when someone else has a better idea than yours, you champion it instead of competing with it. The best idea wins, regardless of whose it is.

What Violating This Looks Like

Staying silent when you see a better way. Dismissing a colleague’s suggestion because of their title or tenure. Hoarding knowledge instead of sharing it.

Why People Choose Illume Over Hospital and Clinic Careers

Let’s talk about the practical reality — because values alone don’t pay rent.

The work environment is different. No 12-hour shifts. No overnight rotations. No institutional bureaucracy. No assembly-line patient processing. Illume operates Monday through Friday, 9 to 5, in a space designed to feel as good for the team as it does for the patients. The pace is intentional, not frantic.

The financial opportunity is real. It has been our founders’ dream to create a pathway for medical providers and their support teams to achieve financial success outside of the hospital and conventional clinic umbrella. Illume can provide that — alongside better work-life balance than the healthcare environments most of our team members came from.

The technology is best-in-class. Candela CO2RE, UltraClear, Nordlys, Profound RF, Venus Versa, DiamondGlow, SkinPen, Exceed — the device portfolio at Illume is deeper than most practices in the region. You’ll work with technology that challenges you to be better, not equipment that limits what you can offer.

The training is funded. Advanced certifications, national conferences, manufacturer training, supervised clinical hours on new techniques — we don’t just encourage growth. We schedule it, fund it, and build it into your development path.

The reputation precedes you. 800+ five-star Google reviews. Top 5% of US med spas for injectables. When you tell people where you work, they already know the name — and they know it means quality. That reputation is built collectively by every team member, and carrying it means something.

Positions We Hire For

We’re always open to meeting exceptional people in these roles. Even without an immediate opening, we keep outstanding candidates in mind.

Front Desk

The first voice. The last impression. At Illume, front desk isn’t reception — it’s the experience. You set the tone, manage the flow, and make people feel welcome before they ever see a provider. We need someone who’s organized under pressure, naturally warm, and understands that every phone call is someone’s first impression of who we are.

Medical Assistants

The operational backbone. You support providers, prep treatment rooms, assist during procedures, and keep everything running behind the scenes. What sets an Illume MA apart: anticipating what’s needed before it’s asked for. Attention to detail that borders on obsessive. And the kind of quiet competence that makes providers better at their jobs.

Aestheticians

Skincare professionals who see every facial as an opportunity to genuinely change someone’s skin. At Illume, aestheticians perform the Illuminate Facial, DiamondGlow, dermaplaning, chemical peels, and other treatments using medical-grade products from SkinMedica, Lira, Vivant, and AnteAge. You should know skin science, not just skin care — and you should be hungry to learn more.

Advanced Aestheticians

Experienced aestheticians certified on clinical devices — laser treatments, IPL, RF, advanced peels, microneedling. If you have a track record of results that patients come back for and a genuine desire to keep expanding your scope, Illume is the practice where your skills are valued and your ceiling is higher than wherever you are now.

Registered Nurses

Nurses who want to do aesthetic medicine at the highest level — under the direction of our Medical Director, Jennifer Bullock, FNP. Injectables (Botox, Dysport, fillers, Sculptra, Kybella), PRP treatments, hormone therapy support, and patient assessment. Our injection philosophy is conservative, precise, and natural-looking. The most important skill is knowing when to stop. If you believe less is often more, you’ll fit right in.

Practice Managers

Operations leadership — scheduling, staffing, inventory, vendor relationships, compliance, and patient experience, all at once. You need to solve problems before they become problems, manage a team of clinicians without micromanaging, and run a practice that’s both excellent and profitable. Med spa experience preferred. Emotional intelligence required.

The Honest Part

The Honest Part

We should be direct about what’s hard.

The standards don’t bend. Not for convenience. Not for seniority. Not on busy days. The patient experience is non-negotiable, and the pressure to maintain it is real.

The learning never stops. If you want a job where you master the routine and cruise, this isn’t it. Aesthetic medicine evolves constantly, and Illume evolves with it. You’ll be expected to grow — and supported in doing it — but the expectation doesn’t go away.

You’ll be held to the values. Not occasionally referenced against them. Held to them. Core values at Illume aren’t aspirational posters — they’re the criteria for feedback, performance conversations, and ultimately, fit. If #LEAD WITH HUMILITY or #GROW OR DIE sound like pressure instead of inspiration, listen to that feeling. It’s telling you something.

The reward is proportional. When the standards are this high, the team that meets them is extraordinary. The patients notice. The reviews reflect it. The work feels like it matters because it does. And the people around you are the kind of people who make you better — which is the rarest and most valuable thing any workplace can offer.

How to Apply

Send your resume and a brief note about why Illume interests you to:

No complicated portal. No automated screening. A real person reads every submission.

Include the position you’re interested in — or tell us what you’re exceptional at and let us figure out where you fit. If your skills and values align with what we’re building, we’ll be in touch.

Even if we don’t have an immediate opening, we keep strong candidates on file. The right person at the wrong time is still worth knowing.
